Free Meals for San Diego Scripps Hospital Health Heroes

Wiith the spreading of Covid19 virus, a lot of medical staff fight in front line of the battle. At the same time, lots of local restaurants are struggling with less customers. Bamboo Club launched a fundraiser through gofundme. Our goal is to order food from local restaurants and deliver food to San Diego Scripps Green Hospital’s medical staff for free. This activity is called “Meals for San Diego Scripps Hospital Health Heroes”.

After we created the fundraiser and shared with our community, we received more than 30 donations with a total more than 3000 dollars. One group communicated with San Diego Scripps Green Hospital to settle down the meal plan. The other group talked with Mendocino Farms for Lunch’s details and  China Chef for Dinner’s details.

Finally, a plan was coming out. We will deliver Tuesday(4/7)  lunch at 12:00 noon and Tuesday dinner at 8:00 pm, Thursday(4/9) lunch at 12:00 noon and Thursday dinner at 8:00 pm. Total quantity will be 180 total meals with 45 meals for each shift. It will go to three different departments, with 15 staff members each.
